  • Yes, I am a doctor, but I am not here to give you medical advice, especially not the kind that can be used against me later.
  • I’m writing this memoir because I am selfish and hoping to have a cathartic experience.
  • Yes everything is based on real people and events. No, I would NEVER compromise the confidentiality of my patients or my family.
  • I do hope this blog is helpful to you somehow, someway, at least for a laugh or a few thoughts about your psyche.
  • I hope you don’t think I am an old pervert.
  • I want to be loved unconditionally.
  • I want to belong and have a sense of community.
  • I want to be known as a “good man.” (Since I’m not sure about this myself, it may be even more difficult for you)
  • I want to say I have had a successful career and helped people more than I have done any harm, which I never intended to do.
  • I want my sons to love me.
  • I want to be loved. Did I say that already? And I want to love. I want to share.
  • I want the opposite of worry. We all do.
  • I want everything that has to do with joy and elation to be permanent, yet I don’t ever want to be bored. “I don’t want life to go on long after the thrill of living is gone.” How miserable.
  • Maybe I want too much. What do you want?
  • Oh and one last piece of advice, in the end all of my dreams came true, even ones I didn’t know I had and that was life.
